Kirstie Allsopp is looking to the past for inspiration and embracing vintage style to help homeowners desperately in need of help.

This time it's Shaun and Jannine Cartwright and their three sons in need of assistance.

The family has reached a massive stumbling block when it comes to overhauling their Blackburn home, which is full of clutter, clutter and more clutter. Jannine has recently fought cancer and the family is now struggling to know where to begin in order to create a more homely home.

Kirstie and her team of top designers and artists help Shaun and Janninie create a 1950s-inspired family playroom and a fin de siècle romantic bedroom. They make a bespoke chaise canopy in stunning textiles and treasure chests for the boys' toys and shop for a vintage sideboard and reupholster the dining room chairs.

Curtains Made For Free had the pleasure of making custom made roman blinds for the channel 4 hit TV show, Double Your House for Half the Money. The show helps people achieve their property dreams without breaking the bank in these recession-hit times.

Property supremo Sarah Beeny helps homeowners turn the most modest property into a sensational home by extending, converting or drilling down.

Curtains Made For Free were delighted to assist with one of the shows transformations, adding style and functionality in the form of custom made roman blinds.
