Curtain Pole Guide | Choosing Wooden Curtain Poles

Wooden curtain poles are a great choice if you're looking for a more traditional or classical look, they’re typically made from oak, pine, and rosewood, and most commonly supplied with a varnished or stained finish that will let the natural wood grain to shine through. Wooden poles are also available in a wide variety of different colour finishes, which is ideal if you have a certain colour scheme and don’t want the hassle of having to paint over the existing wood.

If you have heavy weighted curtains it's worth considering a wooden curtain pole as they are generally made from solid wood, as opposed to metal poles which are mostly hollow at the centre, making them durable enough to hold up heavier lined fabrics and significantly reduce the risk of bowing.
